Sterling L. Patterson, 56, of Alexis, IL, passed away at 1:24 pm, Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg.
He was born on June 15, 1961 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Lowell and Jeannine S. (Loquist) Patterson. Sterling was raised and educated in Alexis and attended Alexis High School.
Sterling worked as an independent groundkeeper for many years, maintaining yards, bushes, and landscaping throughout the area.
Survivors include his mother, Jeannine Patterson of Monmouth; his sister, Kathy Lair of Monmouth; niece, Karmen (Kevin) Hopkins of Bettendorf, IA; 2 great nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Wayne Patterson.
