Gloria Richardson Bohan, 92, of Galesburg, Illinois, died on Sunday, February 25, 2018, in Galesburg.A lifelong resident of the city, she was born on September 26, 1925, the second daughter of Glenn and Frances Holmquist Richardson.
A graduate of Galesburg High School and Knox College, she married Peter T. Bohan of Galesburg in 1947. After her husband’s death in 1977, she assumed ownership of Galesburg Glass Company. Gloria was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and active in Pi Beta Phi, PEO Chapter W, Mosaic Club, and Soangetaha Country Club.
She is survived by a sister, Joanne Wilbur of Denver, Colorado; one son, Peter of Naperville, Illinois; daughters Bridget Weber of Wataga, Illinois; Gloria Moss of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Camille Valentine of Boston, Massachusetts; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Rev. William Miller will officiate. Private family burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive guests at 10:30 am at the church.
