Marie Flanagan, 70, of Eugene, OR (formerly of Peoria, IL), passed away February 12, 2018. Marie was born March 19, 1947, to Terence James Flanagan and Monica Marie (Mills) Flanagan of Berwick/Roseville, IL Marie is survived by a remaining brother, John Robert Flanagan of Eugene, OR, and two nieces and two nephews and their respective children. Marie never married.
Marie was preceded in death by her father (1972), mother (1994), and two brothers, Terence James Flanagan, Jr. (1997) and Stephen Roy Flanagan (2002).
Marie graduated from Roseville High School in 1965 and George Washington University, Washington D.C., in 1971. Following GWU graduation, Marie taught elementary students attending Immaculate Conception Church Elementary School in Monmouth, IL. Following VULS graduation, she practiced law in a legal aid clinic in South Bend, IN. Marie also spend different intervals living at home with her mother, providing companionship and care for her. After her mother died she worked as a care giver in a facility for mentally and physically disabled persons in Peoria, IL.
Memorial Mass will be Thursday March 1, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Monmouth, IL.
