Leland Rodgers, 89, of Roseville, IL passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018, 7:42 p.m. at Graham Hospital Canton, IL. He was born Wednesday, January 16, 1929, in Roseville, IL the son of John E. and Ethyle (Olson) Rodgers. He married Margaret Evelyn Parsons on April 4, 1948 at the Roseville Christian Church Roseville, IL; she preceded him on June 24, 2015.Those left to cherish his memory are daughter Jane (Randy) Hinderliter of Canton, IL; one grandson Joseph Hinderliter of Sherman, IL; one granddaughter Brandy (Mike) Reber of Alexandria, VA; 3 great grandsons Chaz, Cruz, and Casen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 sister (Lois Fackler) and 2 brothers (Rolland “Lubby” Rodgers and Eugene Rodgers)
Leland drove a truck for his dad Rodgers Trucking. He worked for F.S. for 38 years. He worked for Roseville Township, several Warren County Fair Board, and Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery Board. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of Gibson Woods where he enjoyed to play golf.
Funeral will be Monday February 26, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at the Roseville Christian Church Roseville, IL, with Rev. James Oliver and Jack Wingate will officiate. Visitation will be one-hour prior at the church. Burial will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery Roseville, IL.
