Veneta G. Beasley, 69 of Preemption, IL died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at home. Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the New Windsor Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Veneta was born October 26, 1948 in Rock Island County, IL to Kenneth and Lavella Fifield Minteer. She graduated from Aledo High School in 1967. She married James Mack and later married Ronnie D. Beasley July 15, 1978 in Rock Island, IL.
She was employed as a clerk at Royal Neighbors of America in Rock Island.
Veneta’s courage and strength to endure Multiple Sclerosis was an inspiration to her family and friends. Her strong and caring spirit enabled her to care for other MS survivors, putting their needs ahead of her own. Her family’s well-being and the challenges they faced throughout life was of great concern to her and she comforted them with love and devotion. Veneta expressed herself through her writings and she enjoyed crocheting and playing the Guitar.
Survivors include her husband, Ron; one brother: Jim (Patrice) Minteer of Canton, IL; mother-in-law: Rexiene Beasley of New Windsor, IL; six nieces: Tammra, Gwena, Trina, Jennifer, Valerie and Andrea.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Steve.
