Bond was set and a first appearance is scheduled for this week for a Galesburg man arrested last week on possession of child pornography.
29-year-old William A. Peck Jr. made a video appearance in front of Knox County Circuit Judge Paul Mangieri on Friday for a detention hearing, where bond was upped to $750,000 from the original arrest warrant’s $500,000 bond.
In total, Peck faces 16 felonies including 12 counts of Class X possession of child porn, a single count of Class X reproduction of child porn, and three Class 2 charges of possession of child porn. All counts allege that the victim was under the age of 13.
A Class X charge carries a statutory sentencing of 6 to 30 years in prison.
Peck is making a first appearance in court Wednesday.
