LEWISTOWN, Ill. (AP) – The Illinois State Museum-Dickson Mounds is offering a series of nature adventure days for kids each Wednesday in June in western Illinois.
A variety of outdoor adventures and hands-on learning will be offered, including hiking, nature observation, wildlife viewing and laboratory discoveries.
Topics and locations might be different each week. Children, ages 9 to 12, can participate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Museum staff will provide transportation during the program. Participants should bring snacks, drinks and lunch.
Participants may sign up for one or all days with a suggested donation of $50 per child per program. Space is limited and registration is required.
