Evelyn L. Ricketts, 93, of Quincy, IL formerly of Monmouth, IL passed away Friday, June 8, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Home of Quincy. She was born Saturday, August 30, 1924, the daughter of Edward and Edna (Custer) Hilsenhoff. She married John W. Ricketts on February 3, 1946, in Monmouth, IL he preceded her on August 26, 2013.
Surviving are one daughter, Lynn (Roger) Hill of Quincy, IL; one son, Gerald Bruce (Michelle) Ricketts of Pacific, MO, 5 grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Hill of Rockford, MI, Kevin (Angie) Hill of Champaign, IL Rebecca (Justin) Spencer of Pacific, MO, Todd Cooper of Pacific, MO and Mathew Cooper of Des Moines, IA and 7 great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Monmouth. She and her husband spent 25 years wintering in Lakeland, FL.
Funeral service will be Wednesday June 13, 2018 11:00 a.m., visitation will be from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. both at the Wise Family Funeral Home Roseville, IL.
