The center’s Summer Soiree starts at 6:00 pm with hors d’ouvres, drinks, live entertainment and of course, local artwork. Galesburg Civic Art Center Executive Director, Tuesday Cetin says it’s the center’s year-end celebration. “We have, since the last three years, have invited different artists each year to participate,” Cetin said. “It’s a chance to showcase what others are doing. You get to see these artists create right in front of your eyes – that will later be auctioned later in the night. (There will be) music – Andy Crawford and his trio (will be playing). The setting of the Whitcomb – that building is very impressive.” Tickets for the Summer Soiree are $40 per person at the door, art center, or online.
