Another Galesburg resident has been awarded for their improvements to the exterior of a property.
Beth Bergen is the September recipient of Galesburg’s Community Improvement Blue Ribbon Award for the work she did to 675 North Broad Street.
According to Greg Medina who nominated Bergen she replaced the front porch, storm door, front door and landscaping.
Medina adds “with the addition of Hostas and tree trimming, the property really pops.”
The Blue Ribbon award is given monthly, at least when the city receives a nomination they believe is worthy.
Last month Danny Scott was awarded for his renovations to a home just a few blocks away at 968 North Broad Street.
