Jane Bondi Rutenberg, 70 of Belleair Shore, Florida, passed away on September 13, 2018 at Mayo’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Jane was born in Galesburg, Illinois on January 1, 1948 to Jeanne H. and August M. Bondi, who predeceased her. She was married for 41 years to Arthur R. Rutenberg, who predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter: Julie Rutenberg, son: Steven Rutenberg, step-daughters: Sharon Rosenberg, Jan Morse and step-son: Barry Rutenberg.  Seven grandchildren: David Rutenberg, Lisa Kinsell, Jonathan Rosenberg, David Rosenberg, Emily Rosenberg, Justin Morse, and Allison Morse.  And two great grandchildren: Tyler Kinsell and Allison Kinsell.  A brother: Robert I. I. Bondi (Jodie Bondi), a nephew: Aaron Bondi (Lindsey Bondi) and a brother-in-law: Daniel Rutenberg. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1966 and completed her Market Research Analysis major at the University of Arizona in 1971. Jane came to Belleair Shore, Florida, in 1974 to work for Arthur Rutenberg Homes, which is a franchisor of home builders, to provide Real Estate Market Research for land acquisitions. She was a moving force for community service including growing the Clearwater Festival of Trees from 10 trees in a parking lot to a family-centered event with hundreds of trees.  Jane also provided support and leadership in the creation of Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf. Jane was especially known for her magical hands that created thousands of crafts, jewelry and knitting projects for friends, family and charitable groups. Funeral Services are at 1:00pm on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Temple B’nai Israel, 1685 South Belcher Road, Clearwater, Florida. Arrangement are being provided by Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Clearwater, Florida.  Donations may be made to the Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf or the donor’s choice.
