Over three-dozen vehicles were reported vandalized on Thursday and Galesburg police are seeking more information.
26 cases of motor vehicles being “keyed” or deeply scratched were reported over the course of the day. In total, 39 vehicles were reported damaged. Damage was primarily reported on the driver’s sides of the vehicles. However, some vehicles were reported to have had damage to the passenger’s side as well.
While a map is currently being drawn up, 22 of reports of damage were for vehicles on or along North Street, Lawrance Avenue, Olive Street, Pleasant Avenue, and Edwards Avenue. The remaining four reports were for vehicles on or along Ferris Street, Ivan Avenue, Columbus Avenue, and Frank Street.
