Woman charged with stealing credit card points

WHEATON, Ill. (AP) – A suburban Chicago woman has been charged with stealing more than $11,000 worth of credit card points from the school district where she worked.

In a news release, the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s office says Marcia L. Boyan of Naperville is charged with felony theft counts and felony official misconduct.

The 50-year-old Boyan was arrested after an investigation revealed that she allegedly stole more than 900,000 My Bank…My Rewards credit card points earned on Addison School District #4 credit cards while she worked there.

Boyan posted bond and was released from jail. She is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 30. She could not be reached for comment because her listed telephone number is not working.
