Mr. Jeffrey A. Hix, 61, of Federal Way, Washington passed away peacefully with his family members by his side at 2:33 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois. He was born January 29, 1957 in Galesburg to David and Barbara Morrison Hix. He graduated from Portage High School in Portage, Wisconsin in 1975. He joined the United States Air Force in 1978 and served for four years. He then graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois. Later, he worked as a technical writer for AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Surviving is his loving partner of 15 years, Monika Delle of Federal Way, Washington, his daughter, Rachele (and Bob) Novelli of Roanoke, Texas, his son Jeffrey (and Ashley) Hix of Topeka, Kansas, four grandchildren, Carter Novelli, Mara Novelli, Atticus Novelli and Novan Hix, a sister, Lauri (and Chuck) Capan of Moline, Illinois, a brother Dave Hix of Galesburg, two nephews, Nick Capan and Matt Capan, a niece Bailey Capan and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and grandparents. The family would like to thank the amazing doctors and nurses in the CICU at St. Francis for all the amazing care they provided.
