Mr. Christopher M. “Bub” Kelley, 46, of Galesburg, Illinois died 2:24 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg. He was born October 13, 1972 in Monmouth, Illinois to Robert Lewis and Rebecca Lynn Shane Kelley, Jr. Surviving is his mother, Rebecca L. Kelley of Galesburg, two brothers, Robert G. “Rob” (and Amanda) Kelley of Galesburg, Kyle J (and Brittany) Kelley of Galesburg, a sister, Ashley R. (and Gilbert) Kelley of Galesburg, four nephews, Gilbert Lemus, Adrian Lemus, Gabriel Lemus, and Kyle Kelley, Jr, and a niece, Bailey Kelley. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Kelley, Jr. and a brother, Matthew Shane Kelley. Bub graduated from Galesburg High School in 1990. He then enlisted in the United States Army in 1992 where he became disabled. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Galesburg. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He was a collector of Hot Wheels and sports cards. He loved watching movies and spending time with his family.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, Galesburg. Rev. Curt Lipe will officiate. Family will receive friends following the service. Cremation will follow the funeral service and a private committal service will be at a later date in Monmouth Cemetery, Monmouth, Illinois.
