Here is a recap of the game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewitz:
Once again the Galesburg High School Boys Basketball Team built a big lead but this time they were able to protect it in the fourth quarter and secure a twenty point victory over Chicago Wells 84-64 as the Streaks offense continues to pile up big numbers through a 3-0 start. They were led by Jaylin McCants with a career high 25 points and 12 rebounds, he’s had three double-doubles in all three victories so far. Our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game was Eric Price who finished with a career high 22 points and 6 rebounds while shooting 7/7 from the field in the second half and 13 of his 22 points coming in the fourth quarter alone to help the Streaks open up what was an eleven point lead back to twenty. The Silver Streaks have only one game remaining in the Thanksgiving Tournament which is Saturday night against Rockford Lutheran with pre-game beginning around 7:15pm on WGIL following the Galesburg High School Girls game.
