The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team hits the road for the first time this season.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Girls picked up a win in overtime as they defeated The United Township Panthers 45 to 44. Andrea Sampson led the way with 16 points, including four 3 pointers in the game. 12 points went to sophomore Riley Jenkins, including two 3 pointers, 9 points for Kelsi Legge including one 3 pointer and 5 rebounds.
Chloe McCarthy was our Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game due to her big defensive plays in tonight’s game including four steals, but she had a big block for Galesburg late in the game that kept United Township from taking the lead in overtime.
Galesburg is now 4 and 3 on the year and 1 and 1 in the Western Big 6 Conference.
Sophomores also a winner tonight 44-34.
