The third quarter was the big difference for The Galesburg Boy’s Basketball Team on Friday night. They outscored Alleman scoring the first 24 points of the second half turning a 6 point halftime lead into what would become a 78 – 53 win on the road at Don Morris Gymnasium. The Pioneers had 23 turnovers for the game,The GHS Boys taking full advantage of their full court press once again.
Justin Endthoff was our Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game for the second straight game. He topped his career high of 18 points only three days later, with 21 points in Friday night’s game. Jaylin McCants finished in double figures as well with 11 points on the game.
The Silver Streaks improve to 6 and 2 on the season and 1 and 2 in the Western Big Six Conference. The Galesburg Sophomores also won big on Friday, with a score of 92- 34.
The Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys are in action again Saturday afternoon as they take on Pleasant Valley at the Iowa/Illinois Shoot Out. You can hear that game on 92.7 FM The Laser with the pre-game starting at 3:55 from Augustana College.
