Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Basketball @ Quincy Blue Devils

Here is a recap of the game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewitz:

Galesburg Boys Basketball team loses a tough road game at Quincy 62-56. The Silver Streaks had a lead at the half but Quincy regained the lead by the end of the third quarter at 39-38 and never surrendered it, building that lead to as high as seven at one point. The Silver Streaks had 5 of their 15 turnovers in the fourth quarter with two of those being key turnovers at half court that resulted in points for Quincy, increasing their lead to six and the Streaks never really recovered. Our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game was Justin Endthoff who had 8 points in the fourth quarter including two 3-pointers and two big free-throws which got the Streaks back within three late but it wasn’t enough as they fell by six. Streaks are now 11-8 on the season and 1-4 in the Western Big 6 while Quincy improves to 7-9 and 2-3 in conference play. There will be no King Tournament action on Saturday with cancellations coming due to the weather, so the Silver Streaks will be back with two games on Monday. The first will be a 10am match up against Dunlap, and second comes later in the evening at 6pm versus Danville.
