The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys and girls basketball teams are both scheduled to host Western Big 6 Conference games at John Thiel Gym this week. There will be special presentations prior to each varsity game. Before the Thursday night girls game with Alleman, there will be a ceremony to celebrate coach Evan Massey‘s 900th career win. Prior to Friday night’s boys game against Rock Island, there will be a celebration for the 5oth anniversary of the Western Big 6 Conference. GHS athletic director Eric Matthews joined Tom Meredith on “Galesburg’s Morning News” to talk about these events and the rest of the winter sports happenings.
