Galesburg Community Foundation opens 2019 grant cycle

The Galesburg Community Foundation is once again starting up there yearly round of grant funding, which they call The Turnout.
But first applying organizations must attend one of two mandatory grant training sessions.

The training sessions are Tuesday, June 18, at 4:30 p.m. or Thursday, June 20, at Noon, both at The Orpheum Theatre in Galesburg.

A lot of different kinds of organizations are eligible to attend and apply; from charities to churches, schools and government agencies that serve Knox and Warren counties.

Last year’s grant cycle saw GCF granting more funds than ever had before, fully funding 75 percent of requests for 42 organizations.

Some of those funded last year include; The Knox Jazz Year, Discovery Depot, Camp Big Sky, and the Historic Ellisville Restoration Organization.

Organizations goals are varied but they all serve Knox and Warren counties in different ways.
Grant recipients should be announced in the fall.
