Galesburg District 205 students returned to class last Friday, August 16. However, there are apparently a number of parents who have not yet registered their student(s) to start their year. District 205 superintendent Dr. John Asplund says that based on the expected number of returning students at the end of this past school year, the enrollment is about 140 students short of expectations. Dr. Asplund joined Tom Meredith on “Galesburg’s Morning News” to talk about how they calculate the anticipated enrollment numbers and how it affects state aid.
