Monmouth Police
Few details are known at this time but Monmouth Police say emergency personnel responded to a Monmouth home on Monday for a deceased child.
Monmouth Police, Fire and Galesburg Hospital Ambulance service were on scene at the 700 block of E. 3rd Avenue.
Police Chief Joe Switzer says an investigation is ongoing but no foul play is suspected.
Further details including the child’s identity are being withheld at this time out of respect for the deceased’s family.
