Police in Davenport say they have arrested a second juvenile in connection with Wednesday night’s fight and break-out of the Knox County Mary Davis Home.

The department says officers checked an address in Davenport around eight o’clock Friday morning and discovered a 15-year-old female inside who was wanted on charges of Aggravated Battery and Escape. She was taken to the Scott County Juvenile Detention Center.

That follows the arrest after Wednesday night’s incident of a 15-year-old male on similar charges. Three other 15-year-old males remain wanted and are believed to still be in the Davenport area.

The Knox County Sheriffs Department says around eight o’clock Wednesday night, Mary Davis Home employees were in the process of getting juveniles back to their lower west wing cells when one of them hit a staff member. A second staff member who went to help the first one also was hit.  Authorities say two juveniles then entered a control room, hit another staff member, and took a set of facility keys. Five juveniles in total were later seen leaving the building through a boiler room, taking a vehicle, and heading to Davenport.

The vehicle was later found there abandoned. The three boys still wanted reportedly have histories of vehicle thefts and assaults.
