It’s coming: the state of Illinois is less than a month away from recreational cannabis legalization. There will be a free seminar this Friday, December 13th on cannabis legalization and what employers need to know. The seminar will be presented by Galesburg City Attorney Brad Nolden and Galesburg Police Captain Rodney Riggs and hosted by the Carl Sandburg College Corporate and Leisure College. During the seminar, you can learn how the new law affects the workplace and your employees. Attendees will receive background knowledge on the legislation, the impact on employer drug testing and discuss how to create an effective communication plan for employees. A question and answer segment will follow the session. Pre-registration is required – the class is limited to 40 participants. The seminar is being held on Friday, December 13th from 7:30 am to 9:00 am at the Carl Sandburg College Annex at 209 E. Main Street in Galesburg. A continental breakfast will be served.
