Two people were transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg with unknown injuries following a two-vehicle traffic collision in northwestern Warren County.

According to the Illinois State Police, at around 4:48 Thursday afternoon, a truck tractor driven by 67-year-old Dennis Higgins of Alexis was traveling east on Illinois 135 near 60th street in Sumner Township when he attempted to make a wide right turn into a field entrance.

At that time, ISP says that a 2012 Ford Focus driven by 35-year-old Jacqueline McGraw of Bettendorf attempted to pass the truck tractor as it was turning, striking the front passenger side wheel.

McGraw and the passenger, 32-year-old Derrick Ingram also of Bettendorf, were taken to the hospital. State police say that charges are pending.

ISP was assisted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Alexis Fire Department, Alexis Ambulance Service, Galesburg Hospitals Ambulance Service, and Berg’s Towing.
