Charles Warden Wallar Sr., 83, of Galesburg, died at 10:41 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, at home.
Chuck was born Nov. 15, 1936, in Joplin MO, the son of Orville and Winona Loretta (Warden) Wallar. Chuck served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a branch manager for IBM for 32 years, retiring in 1990.
Chuck enjoyed fishing. He was a talented carpenter and woodworker, working on many houses with his son Chip.
Chuck is survived by one son, Charles “Chip” Wallar Jr. of Galesburg; three daughters, Barbara, Wendy, and Robin; one brother, Orville Wallar of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joan Dorothy Jacobsen Wallar; and one brother, Mike Wallar.
