The Galesburg Silver Streaks are now 13-10 on the season after a 56-33 loss to the top-ranked team in class 3A, the Morton Potter’s who move to 22-0 on the season. Streaks again with a high amount of turnovers totaling 27 against the very good defense and again not very many shots put up by the Streaks due in part to the large number of turnovers. Streaks finished the night with just 11/34 from the field while the top ranked Potter’s hit 23/51 and only turned the ball over 9 times. The Streaks were led in scoring by Lauren Livingston who finished with 10 points knocking down 3 field goals, a 3-pointer, and going 1/2 from the free-throw line. Lauren also racked up 5 rebounds along with a couple of steals and she was only player in double figures for the Streaks. Camellia Schwartzman was our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game as she came in late to hit 3/4 from the free-throw line and snached up a couple of rebounds for the Streaks. On a night were there wasn’t really a crunch time or a clear player that stepped up Camellia did a good job getting to the free throw line and knocking those down. So again the Streaks fall to 13-10 on the year with their next game coming up Thursday night when the Streaks travel to Rock Island to take on the Rocks. Streaks fall to the Morton Potter’s 56-33.
