The Galesburg boys basketball team found out just how tough it is to win on the road in the Western Big 6, but they prevailed in the end 65-58 at Sterling.
The Silver Streaks had as much as a 10-point lead in the first half, but the Golden Warriors battled back and took their first lead in the game early in the 3rd quarter. The Streaks responded with a 9-0 run to go up 8-points, and again, Sterling battled back and took the lead again early in the 4th quarter. Galesburg regained the lead 45-44, and kept building the margin to 8-points again and then held on down the stretch to win their 22nd game of the season.
