The Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce held its 101st Annual Dinner Thursday, February 20th. The dinner is an opportunity for the Chamber to share the year’s accomplishments with the community and recognize board members in appreciation of their service. The Citizen of the Year award and business awards are also presented at the Annual Dinner which includes the Large Business and Small Business of the year awards. The Large Business of the Year Award went to Midwestern Pet Foods in Monmouth. Midwestern Pet Foods employs around 75 people and was first founded in 1985. The 2019 Large Business of the Year went to the Warren Achievement Center, the 2018 Large Business of the Year was OSF Holy Family Medical Center. The Small Business of the Year was awarded to Maude’s Specklebelly’s. Founded in 2014, Maude’s Specklebelly’s is boutique shopping with apparel, handbags, jewelry and home decor. Last year’s Small Business winner was the Jamieson Center and Robbins Resource management in 2018. The final award was the Citizen of the Year which went to Tom Glenn from the Warren County YMCA and Special Olympics. The dinner’s keynote speaker was Dave Dunn of Dave’s Autobody and Masters Educational Services.
