Jacqueline “Jackie” Snyder, 84 of rural Abingdon, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020, at her home. She was born November 24, 1935, in Abingdon, the daughter of Ralph and Lou-Ella Pearle (Landon) Button. She married Richard C. Snyder on August 14, 1955, in Abingdon. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Steve Mixon.

Jackie is survived by her children, Rebecca Sue (and Absalom) Lewis of Galesburg, Michael Lewis (and Jo Ellen) Snyder of rural Abingdon and Patrick Neal Snyder of rural Abingdon; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She has lived in the Abingdon area all of her life. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1954. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Roseville Christian Church. She was a lifetime member of the Abingdon Historical Society. She served as an election judge in Berwick for many years.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel. Rev. James Oliver will officiate. Burial will be in Meridian Cemetery near Berwick. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
