Advisory referendum questions on election ballot in Knoxville School District

Voters in the Knoxville School District who may not otherwise consider voting in Tuesday’s primary election, may want to consider pulling a non-partisan ballot.  The district is asking voters there to give the District 202 School Board guidance as they move forward.  The following questions will be on the ballot:

1.) Should Knoxville Community Unit School District No. 202 waive tuition for children of teachers who live outside the school district?

2.) Should Knoxville Community Unit School District No. 202 sell non-referendum bonds in an amount sufficient to finance a multi-purpose artificial turf replacement of approximately $1,100,000, in addition to the solar project already being considered by the board of education?

District 202 Superintendent Steve Wilder talked with Will Stevenson on Galesburg’s Evening News.
