ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) — Two people died Saturday in a house fire in Rockford.
The fire department responded to a 911 call at a two-story home, shortly after 5 a.m. A man and a woman were found unconscious, acting district chief Brad Walker told the Rockford Register Star.
Three other people were able to escape the fire, which started on the first floor.
