Will Stevenson hosted WGIL’s Galesburg Live on Saturday, April 25, and more issues related to COVID-19 were discussed.

In the first hour, Will talked with Chastity Smith and Tina Benedict, organizers of the annual West Central Illinois Out of the Darkness Walk for suicide prevention and awareness.  The walk is still expected to go on later this year, but the organization the walk benefits — the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention — provides tips on mental health issues related to COVID-19.

In the second hour, Will talked about the City of Galesburg response to COVID-19, and what could be done better on both state and local levels, with Galesburg Mayor John Pritchard.  (NOTE:  While Pritchard owns WGIL, Will invited Pritchard on to the program, not the other way around.)

Galesburg Live airs Saturdays 7-9am on WGIL, WGIL.com, and by finding WGIL on the TuneIn Radio app.
