2 pedestrians hit, killed by stolen car near Chicago

RIVERDALE, Ill. (AP) – Authorities say a man and a woman standing near their vehicle as it was being loaded onto a tow truck were struck and killed by a passing car. The Illinois State Police say the collision happened on Interstate 57 in the Chicago suburb of Riverdale at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday. The agency says the occupants of what was later determined to be a stolen car  ran away on foot.  The agency says the names of the two victims – a 35-year-old Chicago woman and a 34-year-old Bolingbrook man – have not been released pending the notification of next of kin.
