Warren County Health officials announced 2 more confirmed cases of COVID-19 for a current total of 52 cases.
This comes after more than a week of increases sometimes in the double digits. The average increase in Warren County over the last 10 days is 5 new confirmed cases daily.
Warren County’s far and away largest employer Smithfield Foods’ meat processing plant in Monmouth announced they would close temporarily to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Smithfield and Health officials have indicated there are at least some cases of the coronavirus among Smithfield employees but it’s not publicly known how many.
