CHICAGO (AP) – Murder charges have been filed against a Chicago college student accused of being part of group of men who were targeting rival gang members but ended up killing a 53-year-old grandmother. Cook County prosecutors say Kimberly Underwood was returning to her home in the Altgeld Gardens public housing project on Nov. 6, when 27-year-old Devonte York and at least five others opened fire on her auto as she was parking. Assistant State’s Attorney James Murphy on Wednesday said security camera footage helped authorities identify and charge York with the fatal shooting.
