Where there’s a bid, there’s a way – and bidding is already underway for the 20th Annual Galesburg Christian School auction fundraiser. School Administrator Bob Nutzhorn says given social-gathering restrictions the staff at GCS were still able to create a much-needed event. “You know, we had a lot of the items already before any of this (COVID-19 restrictions) hit,” Nutzhorn said.
“The auction was originally supposed to be (held on) April 3rd I think it was. So it was just changing the format. (It) just took a few conversations. Our staff is pretty amazing (getting) things moved over and switched on. I think it’s going to work out pretty good, actually for us. We just need some bidders.”
The silent auction portion of the fundraiser has been moved to the website BiddingOwl.com – with a link available on the Galesburg Christian School Facebook page. Bidding has already begun.
Saturday, May 16th at 7:00 pm the live auction will take place on their Facebook page.
Nutzhorn says they will bring up five items at a time, he will fill the role of auctioneer, accept bids, and then bring up five more items. The silent auction portion will conclude at 10:00 pm on Saturday, May 16th.
