Starting Monday, June 8th, Galesburg Public Library will allow items to be checked-out

The Galesburg Public Library remains closed to the public, but starting Monday, June 8th you can start checking-out items the library offers. If you are a library card-holder, you can visit the library’s website, call, email, or use the RSAcat app to reserve an item you wish to check-out. Librarians will place a hold on each item, and when they are ready to be picked, you’ll receive a phone call. When picking up your items, enter the south vestibule in the south parking lot. Your items will be in a bag labeled with the last four digits of your card number, and the first three letters of your last name. If you are unable to get out of your car, call the library to make different arrangements. All items are to be returned to the media drop-offs in the south parking lot. Call the library and make arrangements for larger items. Returned items will be quarantined for seven days before they can be checked out again. If you’d like to sign up for a library card, call or email the library at 343-6118 or email reference@galesburglibrary.org. For updates on reopening, library events, and digital services, follow the library on Facebook or subscribe to Off the Shelf, the library’s monthly newsletter.
