Youth-led Black Lives Matter movement protest to be held Saturday in Monmouth.

A peaceful, youth-led protest will be held on the Public Square in Monmouth on Saturday, June 27th. Hosted and organized by Monmouth-Roseville students Anna Dillard and Ruby Williams, the protest in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement is intended for all ages. The event is also intended to amplify the voices of the youth in the community and to empower everyone to continue standing up for change. The protest is planned in cooperation with the Monmouth Police Department. According to the event’s description on Facebook, other young speakers and leaders will speak at the event. The protest will be held Saturday evening from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the Monmouth Public Square.
