United District looking to hybrid model for fall classes

United District 304 is in the planning stages of using a “hybrid model” for their schools in the fall. That’s where students would attend class in person on certain days and have remote learning other days.

Districts around the country are looking to this kind of model, including in Canton.

WGIL’s Nick Ischer spoke with District 304 Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt on Wednesday about the hybrid model, how COVID-19 affected the district budget and the resignation of a 7-year board member.
