The Midwest Conference, the Division 3 conference that includes Monmouth and Knox, announced Monday they are canceling all athletics until Dec. 31.
The MWC Presidents’ Council made the decision in a unanimous vote this morning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Member institutions are said to be committed to providing engaging and significant team experiences for their student-athletes.
Schools can schedule limited non-conference competition at the discretion of individual institutions.
Knox says they will explore this possibility but Monmouth has not mentioned it.
Monmouth officials say they will evaluate the spring sports schedule later this fall.
