Alice D. Patterson, 81, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 3:25 pm, Saturday, August 1, 2020, at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL
Alice was born September 21, 1938, in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Edwin D and Jessie M (Bennett) Sullivan and her “Dad” Leslie Lindburg. She was raised and educated in Monmouth and Alexis, graduating from Alexis High School in 1957. She later attended Carl Sandburg College.
Alice married Roger E. Nuckles in Monmouth. She later married Samuel Leroy Patterson in Alexis and he passed away in 2007.
She was a homemaker and full-time mother. She was a member of the Alexis Presbyterian Church.
Alice’s focus in life was spending time with and taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Diana (Curtis) Campagna of Monmouth, IL, Tammy (John) Dykema of Green Bay, WI; sons, Samuel (Elizabeth) Patterson of New Windsor, IL and Mark ( Patsy) Patterson of Wataga, IL; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Susan Imler of Galesburg, IL; brother, Michael (Cindy) Lindburg of Monmouth, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her best friends, Carolyn Noel of Monmouth, IL and Ann Holeman of Monmouth, IL
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, and son in law, Stacey Lee and Andrew Davidson and one son, Joseph Patrick Patterson; one grandson, Jeremy Patterson.
Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Alice D. Patterson Memorial Fund and left at the funeral home.
