John E. White, Jr. 73, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 7:33 pm Sunday, August 2, 2020, at Unity Point Health Hospital, Peoria, Illinois.
He was born July 31, 1947, in Galesburg the son of John E. and Alice Marry White, Sr.
John is survived by his aunt, Patricia Hicks of Galesburg; and several cousins including, Mary Ann (Mike) McNeil and Tom (Sandra) Hicks and several great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
John worked for Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad for 15 years as a driver and in the maintenance department. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1965. John served in the US Army for 2 years.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:30 pm Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Deacon Michael Crummer officiating. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.
