Pair arrested after disturbance on Home Blvd.

Galesburg police were dispatched to Home Blvd Saturday, August 8th in reference to a disturbance involving a weapon. A couple that lived in the neighborhood contacted police because a male subject kept hanging around a neighbor’s residence. Police reports say the subject displayed a pistol when questioned by the couple before departing in a blue sedan. The couple was alarmed because they couldn’t tell if the pistol was real or not. Police located the sedan and made contact with 44-year old Richard Kenney of Galesburg as well as his passenger, 39-year-old Chrystal Hernandez of Galesburg. A black BB gun was located inside the sedan.
Kenney was then arrested for Aggravated Assault, Driving while License is Suspended, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and a Knox County Warrant for Driving on a Suspended License. Hernandez was also arrested on a Knox County Warrant for resisting a peace officer. Both were transported to the Knox County Jail.
