
Clarence Bishop, 69, of Monmouth, Il passed away at 4:10 am, Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at his home.
He was born December 17, 1950, in Macomb, IL the son of Herman and Naomi (Foster) Bishop. He was raised and educated in Industry, Il, and attended Macomb High School.
Clarence married Patricia Jackson in Galesburg, Il on September 14, 1985, and she survives.
He was a janitor at Abingdon Junior High School and was a guard at Wackerhut, Abingdon Pottery. He recently worked as a farmhand on the Bob Gavin farms.
Clarence enjoyed spending time with his family, watching classic western movies including John Wayne movies, working on cars, lifting weights, riding his bike, and picking up cans.
Survivors include his wife; his stepchildren, Peggy (James) Baysingar of Atoka, TN, Mark (Chris) McCann of North Henderson, IL, Timothy McCann of Monmouth, IL, Tammy (Mike) Trout of Cameron, IL and Lori McCann of Monmouth, IL; 17 step-grandchildren, many great step-grandchildren; his siblings, Harold Bishop of Monmouth, IL, Bennie Bishop of CA, Evelyn Marie Bishop of Macomb, IL and Junior Bishop of Berwick, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 step-grandchildren, Alan Hannigan, Brandon Baysingar and Joshua Atwell; his brother, Ted Bishop and 3 nephews, Harold Bishop, Jr, Pete Bishop and Chris Bishop.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday, August 24, 2020, at the Monmouth American Legion, Monmouth, IL. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Clarence Bishop Memorial Fund and left at the Funeral Home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
