Book sales, markets, and more this weekend

It’s the 2nd-to-last Saturday book sale on September 19th at the Galesburg Public Library. From noon until 4:00 pm, the used book sale will feature books on History, Military, Biography and other nonfiction.

The Saturday Market at the Dahinda General Store is being held Saturday, September 19th  beginning at 8:00 am. There will be local vendors, fresh produce, and indoor shopping. The Dahinda General Store is at 1457 Knox Highway 15 in Dahinda.

The Galesburg Public School Foundation Annual Golf Outing is Saturday, September 19th at Bunker Links Golf Course. The purpose of the Foundation is to raise funds to enhance the educational, interscholastic and extracurricular opportunities for students in District 205, and to strengthen the relationship between the public schools and the community. In-person registration and the 50/50 raffle begins tomorrow morning at 8:00 am and a shotgun start at 9:00 am. Lunch will be served at 1:00pm catered by Big Catz BBQ. The cost is $60 per golfer or $240 per team. Mulligans are available to purchase – and individuals or businesses can sponsor a hole for $50.00. On Sunday, September 20th, the Galesburg Public Library presents a Jurassic Drive-Thru at Lakeside Waterpark parking lot. From 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, kids of all ages can come and take a trip back in time – with socially-distanced drive-thru activities. Meet a dinosaur, play games, listen to stories, and more. There will be refreshments and free books for kids as well.
