The Illinois Department of Public Health says a male from Knox County in his 20’s has died in the last 24 hours with symptoms of COVID-19.
This is the 9th death in Knox County of someone who tested positive for COVID-19, after three were reported just yesterday; all three in their 80’s.
Thursday’s death is the youngest of any COVID related death in Knox thus far.
Also there are 45 new confirmed cases of COVID over the past 24 hours, making a new total of 982 according to IDPH.
There have been over 100 new cases reported in Knox County since Sunday.
