
On Friday, November 6th around 8:20 pm, Galesburg Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Jefferson Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, police made contact with 49-year old Christina Johnson of Galesburg standing on a porch yelling nonsense eluding to the fact that she may be armed with a gun. The residents of the home were disturbed and called the police. Police have had prior encounters with Johnson and she’s had a history of pulling weapons on police. According to police reports, officers informed Johnson that she was going to be arrested for disorderly conduct and she refused to comply with police orders. Officers eventually had to carry Johnson to a squad car. A search of her person found a small plastic baggie inside a pack of cigarettes with what field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Johnson was transported to the Knox County Jail and charged with Possession of Meth, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting a Peace Officer.
