Update: Knox County Health officials now say that a fourth individual has died following a positive test for coronavirus.
In an earlier release, the health department said the other deaths were residents were a male in his 60s and two females in their 90s. The additional death was a male in his 80s, according to health officials, bringing the county’s total to 35 cases.
Michele Gabriel, Administrator for the health department, says that, quote, “We are facing a historic public health challenge and know this is a very difficult time. our top priority continues to be protecting the health of our community.”
Residents are encouraged to consider the health of their families and those around them when making decisions about attending any large gatherings, weddings, or going out.
